Hi Audra! Somehow came upon this site (have no idea how!) and it is amazing. You are an inspiration with your positive outlook and appreciation of life. You have been in Marty and my thoughts and prayers and will continue. If you ever want to come to DC with your family do not hesitate to call us! xxoo,Meredith.

Hi Meredith! How are you? How are Grace and Marty? Thanks for keeping me in your prayers. All's well so far. I'll definitely be in touch if we make it to D.C. :-)

Oops, I meant I found a copy of "Hello," hehe. I'm listening to your "Goodbye" mp3s right now off your site. I do love your music.
Audra writes:
Hi Lisa. I admit I don't remember your face, but I do remember Mom and my sisters mentioning you a lot. What are you doing in Nashville???

Hi Audra!
You probably don't remember me (we only ever met briefly a couple times), but I spent years riding at your parents farm in Oxford and went to school with your sisters. I was in a used CD store down here in Nashville and came across "Goodbye." Gosh, did that ever make me homesick! Of course I had to snap it right up.

I couldn't believe the news when I googled your band's website. I'm glad to hear your latest MRI results came back stable. Your site is gorgeous, so is your son. I wish you the best with everything and you'll be in my thoughts! Say hi to your family for me.

Hi Audra. I can so relate to the thumb spasm thing. Once a brain tumor enters your life you become super sensitive to EVERYTHING your body does.I drive my poor husband nuts thinking every little complaint he has is tumor related.Sometimes you just have to stop, take a deep breath to calm down. But you were wise to consult your doctor anyway.Happy to hear that you are off keppra. My husband has never been able to wean himself off his meds.He has focal siezures even on the meds. They are usually brought on by stessful events, tho sometimes he appears to have them in his sleep,go figure. Anyway hang in there!

Hey Audra. I think this page is WONDERFUL. I am one of Dolly's old highschool friends and I heard about you a few months ago. Keep your head up even though it looks like you are! We're going through something similar with my husband, so I know what it's like. We'll be keeping you in our prayers as well.
Audra writes:
Hi Megan. I'm glad you like the site :-). It's hard to believe Dolly's peers are married!!! Sorry to hear your husband is having medical trouble.

Hi audra, you should not worry about your mri results. if it were bad they would have been in touch already. It has been my exprience over the last 6 and a half years that they only contact if something is wrong. We knew on the last mri on the very same day that it was back. So I believe that all is way good and cool with you. Hang in there!
Audra writes:
Thanks, Sue. I'll definitely keep that in mind for next time!

I still think you should keep calling your doctor's office, and when they say that your MRI report has been read, tell them you'll be in the office to pick up a copy of it. They have to give you a copy of it, or at least have you sign something and then give you the copy. It's not violating HIPPA if you are there in person requesting your own information. It's just mean to make you wait so long!! Although it's going to be fine(:
Audra writes:
Well, I figure I can wait a week. If he reschedules I'll email Dr. Ioffe again since I specifically requested the info go directly to him as well this time. Oh, heck, maybe I'll email Dr. Ioffe tomorrow...

hi, sorry to hear about the house thing,We have been thru that ourselves.Want to wish you good luck on your next mri!My husband had 6 and half years of stable mri`s even without chemo or radiation treatments and still the nasty little thing came back.I guess it is the nature of the beast we are dealing with.I do not know if this is common, but this situation has put a HUGE strain on our 34 year relationship and I would like you to give you a heads up on how important it is to nurture the husband and wife/ family relationship as it can become very stained at times which took my husband and I by surpr ise.Best wishes to you and yours
Audra writes:
Hi Sue. From what I've gathered, oligos almost always return at some point. The average is 10 years. That means there are people who are unfortunately enough to have it return in a year, and others take 20+ years. Depending on your age at the time it was discovered you could conceivably die of natural causes before it comes back. Now, that old statistic is doesn't take into account those oligos with both chromosome deletions. If you have both you have a better chance of being one of those 20+ people. Has your husband been tested for that?

I'm sorry to hear that ollie's return has put a strain on such a long standing relationship. If you don't mind me asking, how old is your husband?

hi again.I last said hello on may 14th regarding my husband"s oligodendroglioma making a return visit.to keep you posted, he has chosen not to have chemo or gamma knife surgery as he wants not to ruin his health with these toxic treatments. we are more into holistic treatments at this point.I am afraid for him but respect his choice.I also want to add that my husband is a great guitar player and has played in many bands over the years and with me{I play drums and fiddle}He is interested in your story on the tumor front but also on your musical history as well. hope all is well with you!
Audra writes:
Hi Sue. If you're going the holistic route, have him look into diet therapy, but especially Calorie Restriction. You may know this diet by the name of "The Longevity Diet" or the "120 Year Diet". There's tons of scientific research behind it as far as staving off age related diseases including cancer. Go to calorierestriction.org to learn more. I'm attempting it but am only down to my "normal" weight for my height right now. :-) Good luck!

I have your band site up near the top of my favorites page and check in once a month or so to see if anything has changed and saw your tumor message. I just wanted to say that your music is enjoyed my my whole family and your band is one of my daughters influences, She plays drums and clarinet. She is 13. Get your rest and don't rush through this healing time. take it easy.

Hi Gus! Wow, I'm somebody's musical influence??? Tell your daughter to practice hard and to a click track 'cause a good drummer is ALWAYS in demand. A good female drummer is even cooler :-)
