Audra,Hi, I know your situation will be temporary, but you will not want to haveroof leaks or other problems with the home as after you rebuild you may want to sell the mobile home to someone else and maybe make a profit on it ,you know what I mean? Just looking out for your best interests. goodbye ,sue

Hi Audra.I was not going to post again, but the mobile home thing peaked my interest. After our children grew up and left we bought a mobile home .Have lived in it for about 14 years. They can be kept warm much more easily because they are small,But a heads up ,when you move them from one place to another, they have a tendancy to develop roof leaks and other problems (WE have moved ours 2 times in two years so I know.)Also when you set them up you must keep them completely level,Say on a concrete slab or you will have problems .Also I have noticed that mice seem to gain entery to mobile homes very easily(we got two cats,BINKY and TATO BUG) and that solved that problem.Anyway good luck on the mobile home thing, also happy to see you are doing so well! On my end things are not doing so well,my husbands tumor is almost doubling in size every 6 months, very scary and depressing,we will be seeking a second opinion from Dr.Lisa DeAngelis at Sloan Kettering in NYCity. You should also check out a site on the web called 38 Lemon .It has lots of info on all kinds of brain tumors and has been very informative and helpful to my husband and I.(This site caught my eye as my husbands oligo was the size of a lemon when diagnosed)goodbye,Sue

Hey Sue. Glad to hear from you! Sorry your husband is not doing so well. The mobile home option will just be temporary housing for us so we can get out to this land now AND get out of debt. When/If we can sell our house we will begin to build.

I like the name 'Carry Clips' a lot better because it can be advertised to be used in many more places. And, it still has the alliteration!

So, are you still undergoing treatments? Is everything looking up for you right now?
Audra writes:
Hi Megan. I actually stopped treatment in March. I weaned off the anti-seizure meds about three months ago, I'd say. The only "treatment" I'm doing now is diet therapy

Hey Audra! We went to the movies on Friday and I was wishing I had a Klub Klip so I didn't have to worry about money falling out of my pocket or keeping track of a wallet/pocketbook. Your product could benefit from a more "all-inclusive" name because it is a great concept for all sorts of places and scenarios...movies, eating out, going to the mall or any store (especially if you have kids with you!). I don't have a name to suggest in its place, but just wanted to share that it's a great product idea for lots of places!

You can contact the Clinic and find out more at 1-713-335-5697.The FDA confirmed the results of the trial to me and there number is 1-800-463-6332 ask for the special health issues office.I believe Mr.Barnes was the guy's name.If you call the Clinic tell Darlene or Elizabeth that Randy Hinton told you to call. The 3 hospitals I mentioned will be very evasive about answering your questions. If you want the documents that I have I can e-mail them to you.Mine is rchnsc@hotmail.com

Hey Aud, if you want to save energy compact florecents are old news...research LED bulbs, they're currently much more expensive but sized right they can put out comparable light for only 3-5 watts each and unlike CFL bulbs they have NO murcury. Don't break a CFL bulb or you'll contaminate your house.

Hi Randy. That is unbelievable news. I have had students with Neurofibromitosis who could've benefited from this drug! Who do we contact/call to inquire about or show support for this study??? This is definitely a cause I would fight for.

I would like to let all brain tumor patients and family members know that MUSC rejected a phase III trial for Diffuse Intrinsic Brainstem Glioma. This particular trial outperformed any drug being trialed now
as a phase II study. The hospitals loose all 200+ children with this tumor every year. This means ALL HOSPITALS.The above mentioned trial saw
26 children symptom free at 2 years and
6 of those 26 were alive at 5 years and considered cured. On June 22,the FDA
verified these results to me over the phone.Greenville Memorial and Augusta Childrens Hospital also rejected this phase III study and all 3 hospitals will not discuss WHY? Please pass this information to people you know and feel free to call me at xxx-xxx-xxxx if
you need more information.

I was looking for more info about brain tumor type 2 through the internet, so I saw your website, and I read your story. You are very strong. I know you can remove your tumor.
2 weeks ago we have been informed, my father has a brain tumor (type 2), he is 60 years old, and me and my family are so upset, I am worry about him, and my family because I am in Canada, and they are in Iran ( back home). During this time I do nothing just crying and calling my family. That's it. Finally today I decided to change every things, and give more energy to them. I have reserved a ticket to see my Dad first, and apply to bring him to Canada after his radiation trophy. ( first part of his treatment). Right know he can not walk, and move very well, and I hope after his treatment he is getting better. I heard that during the radiation trophy the skin is getting dark, do you recommend any skain's medication to take it during this time?
what kind of diet does he have? Do you know any Neurologist that I can send my father's MRI, and get a feedback about it?
Thanks you in advance

I'm very sorry to hear about your father. The neurosurgeons at John's Hopkins in Baltimore, and The Mayo Clinic are world renowned. My surgeon, Dr. Pierre at Peninsula Regional Medical Center here in Salisbury, MD is very respected as well. His number 410-860-0084. Good luck.

I just read about your tumor and I hope you are ok and still in remission. That is a very scary thing to go through and you really get teasted. In May I had surgery to remove a large grouping of cancerous cells. The recovery time was a couple of months and now we keep a close eye on it to make sure they don't come back. I guess its just another one of our weird parrallels. Anyway, my thoughts are with you and I pray for your health.

Hello,
I hope this is the right place to post this.
I am new to this site and also have a grade 2 oligo. I was first diagnosed and had surgery in 2001. I had a reccurance in 2005 and was on temodar for about one year. I have been having some bad seizures lately and (despite very little tumor growth) my doctor wants to radiate half my brain. I am very ambivalent about the radiation and potential short/long term problems.
I have been looking into the ketogenic diet which is similar to the cron diet that you mention. I was wondering if you or anyone else might have an opinion about diets and/or radiation.
Thanks
Stephen P.

Hi Stephen. I looked into the ketogenic diet too but with all the fat that's recommended it didn't sound very healthy in the long run. One of the downsides listed to the diet was that you could develop high cholesterol. I'm surprised a type 2 oligo had a recurrence so quickly. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?
