Hey Audra!! Your post brings to mind some questions...how did the Wendy's commercial lead to having Quinn? And you mentioned your mom told the real reason you wear the headbank - is there a reason other than to conceal the regrowth?
Audra writes:
Hi Sarah! Well, as for Quinn... when he got the initial $11K for the commercial it was more $ than we'd ever seen so we figured we could then afford a baby
As for the headband... yes, I wear it to cover the regrowth and without it I look a little too much like a cancer patient

The Hip Clip is the best! Genius!!! How come we didn't think of this before???
Audra writes:
I know, right??? I actually thought of it before but didn't seriously consider it because when I looked up hipclips.com initially it was taken by a music clip company. I mistakenly remembered that there was already a clip by that name. Hipklips.com was available so I decided to go with that after all. It is the perfect name, after all, like you said. I know you don't necessarily like the "alternate" spelling, but Mr. Bradley in 9th grade said people remember things better if you misspell them so I'm going with that!

Audra, l love the final name of your product.I would have normaly been more involved ,but have been involved in more depressing things that i choose not to go into at this time.As always good luck and god bless you and your family!

I wasnt going to touch this whole thing, but how about Clip-N-Go, ClipTOGO, or something in that direction? Clip-N-Carry...I could go on...

"ck" sounds are harsh
handy sack only has one "ck" sound in it, whereas klub klip has 2 "ck" sounds in it...I don't like the "ck" sound...just a quirk i guess.

I wasn't going to bring this up, but since it is the topic right now...when I see products or places misspelled with K's, it makes me think of the Klan. Years ago I was driving through Virginia and passed "Kathy's Krazy Kuts" and I thought of the Klan, and still do anytime I see a store or product misspelled using a K. It just bothers me to see products misspelled, and especially with K's instead of C's. I guess I am the only female to think like that!
But I am sure plenty of products have been successfully marketed and sold that way!

Ok, gentlemen...clearly the male mind is from Mars. None of the women even though of the Klan or billy clubs or cavemen! Too funny. Chics dig Club Clip (without the K's is better for me since I'm a teacher and get hung up on spelling) because we go to clubs all the time (health clubs, book clubs, night clubs, Mommy & Me club!). It's good for us. Maybe we should market another one for the guys and have those cavemen from the Geico commercial
Audra writes:
Yeah, you tell 'em GiGi... lol... I would have preferred Club Clips too with the "C" but that's already taken by some kind of golf clip. Darn golfers! Carry Clip is taken by hunters! Sheesh...

Hey Gus! I think the Instapundit just unleashed a marketing army of Davids!

i also think handy sack is a great name. and if you have more than one clipped to your person you can call it a "handy sack pack" i see them haning in a bandolere style formation.

I hope your servers can handle the Instalanche.
Of the choices, I prefer "Klub Clip", but it does bring to my mind an image of neanderthals with belts and clip-on *club* holders.
And now I'm getting that scene from "The Hudsucker Proxy" where they're trying to name the hula hoop.
Call is the "Handy Sack", and market is as "You know, for kids!" And we'll all be happy.
Good luck with the chemo.

I came here via Instapundit. Before I saw your post, just by reading his comment and the name "Klub Klip", I sorta knew what your product was.
I don't know if brand awareness among fashion-clueless middle-aged males is a good thing for you or a bad thing; but Klub Klip seems perfect to me.

Unfortunately, Klub Klip sounds too much like all those stupid "K-words" that the Klan used (Grand Kleagel, Klavern, etc.). Please dump it.

Hi-
Call your invention the "Klip-N-Karry." Klub Klip conjures up visions of a billy club clipped somewhere & Carry-It Clip doesn't roll off the tongue as well. Just my $0.02

news article link on container homes
I found this article that indicates that a container home could cost about $100.00 a square foot. that is an amazing cost and also what is great is you do not have to be near a port to buy these containers. they are shipable nearly anywhere with decent roads becacuase that is what they were designed to do. I think you will enjoy the article.

Hey Gus! I've actually seen those before, though not in person. They look really neat and a good idea if you live near a port.

Wow. I mean, Wow! You are amazing.
I first ran into you on the css-discuss list. I saw that you were very helpful to a lot of people.
Then I lost track of you. A few months went by and I wanted to find your website again. After about two hours with google, I found your website again. Today as I looked at karmaCMS webpages, I thought I should know a little more about who is behind karma etc. before signing up clients with the service.
Your story has blown me away. Your example of bravery and goodness touches my heart. I will pray for you and your family. Your dad and I are the same age and I have daughters your age. Small world in some ways. Still wouldn't want to have to paint it tho. (Steve Wright)
All the best to you,
Chris
